PUBLICATION PROCESS

TRANSFORMA-Publication-Process-1

TRANSFORMA: Journal of Community Innovation and Transformation is committed to providing a transparent, efficient, and high-quality publication process. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous editorial workflow to ensure scientific quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.

The publication process consists of the following stages:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. The submission must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, manuscript template, and all required supporting documents.

Estimated Time: 1 Day

2. Initial Editorial Screening

The Editorial Office evaluates whether the manuscript:

  • Fits the journal's aims and scope.
  • Meets formatting requirements.
  • Contains complete submission documents.
  • Demonstrates sufficient academic quality.
  • Is ready for peer review.

Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria may be returned for correction or rejected without external review.

Estimated Time: 3–7 Working Days

3. Similarity Check

All manuscripts are examined using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and compliance with publication ethics.

Manuscripts with excessive similarity or evidence of plagiarism may be rejected or returned for clarification.

Estimated Time: 1–2 Working Days

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript.

The review focuses on:

  • Originality
  • Innovation
  • Community impact
  • Methodological quality
  • Scientific contribution
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Practical applicability

Both authors' and reviewers' identities remain confidential throughout the review process.

Estimated Time: 2–4 Weeks

5. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

The Editor's decision is final.

Estimated Time: Within 7 Working Days after receiving reviewer reports.

6. Revision by Authors

If revisions are required, authors should revise the manuscript carefully and provide a detailed response to every reviewer comment.

Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers when necessary.

Estimated Time: 1–3 Weeks

7. Final Acceptance

After all revisions have been satisfactorily completed, the Editor issues the formal acceptance decision.

Accepted manuscripts proceed to production.

8. Copyediting and Proofreading

Professional copyediting is performed to improve grammar, consistency, formatting, references, and overall readability without altering the scientific content.

Authors may be contacted for final proofreading before publication.

Estimated Time: 3–7 Working Days

9. Layout Editing and DOI Registration

The accepted manuscript is formatted according to the journal's publication style.

The article metadata are finalized, page numbers assigned (if applicable), and the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is registered before publication.

Estimated Time: 2–5 Working Days

10. Online Publication

The final article is published on the journal website as an Open Access publication and becomes permanently accessible to readers worldwide.

Metadata are distributed to indexing and abstracting services according to the journal's indexing policy.

Estimated Overall Timeline

Under normal circumstances, the complete publication process takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on:

  • The quality of the submitted manuscript.
  • The responsiveness of reviewers.
  • The speed of author revisions.
  • Editorial workload.

The journal strives to process all manuscripts as efficiently as possible while maintaining high editorial standards and publication ethics.
