REVIEW PROCESS
All manuscripts submitted to the SIMBAN Journal must strictly adhere to the journal's Aims and Scope as well as the Author Guidelines. Submissions are expected to demonstrate clear scientific contribution or novelty aligned with the journal’s thematic focus.
To uphold academic integrity, all manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly encouraged to conduct a similarity check using plagiarism detection software—Turnitin is highly recommended. In addition, the editorial team independently verifies manuscript originality using Turnitin before further review.
Every submitted research article will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process by at least two or more qualified reviewers with recognized expertise in their respective fields. The editorial board ensures that all reviewers have no conflict of interest in evaluating the manuscript. Reviewers provide constructive, impartial, and scholarly feedback to help authors improve the quality of their work. They will also offer a clear recommendation on whether the manuscript should be accepted (with major or minor revisions) or rejected.
The final decision regarding the acceptance of a manuscript lies with the Editors, based on reviewers’ recommendations. The Editor-in-Chief determines the publication schedule and sequence of accepted articles. Considerations such as the date of acceptance, thematic relevance, and geographic diversity of authors play an important role in the publication timeline.
Authors can expect a decision within approximately four (4) months from the date of submission, depending on the review process. All submitted manuscripts are treated with the highest level of confidentiality, transparency, and fairness throughout the editorial workflow.
