DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review plays a critical role in assisting the editor in making informed editorial decisions and, through constructive feedback, also supports the author in improving the quality of the manuscript. All communication and interactions between reviewers, editors, and authors are conducted through the SIMBAN OJS system to ensure transparency and efficiency.
2. Timeliness
Reviewers who are invited to evaluate a manuscript but feel unqualified to assess the content or are unable to complete the review promptly should notify the editor as soon as possible and withdraw from the review process to avoid unnecessary delays.
3. Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shared with or discussed with others unless explicitly authorized by the editor. This confidentiality extends beyond the review process.
4. Objectivity and Professionalism
Reviews must be conducted objectively and with professionalism. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their opinions clearly and support their evaluations with well-reasoned arguments and constructive suggestions.
